Dave's a Red Devil at 13,000ft for Danny Porter Foundation

Danny Porter Foundation trustee (and Danny's dad) Dave Porter has decided that this summer he's going to take his dedication to the charity to new heights, quite literally - Dave will be undertaking a tandem parachute jump on 31st August to raise funds for the foundation.

A very excited Dave says "If you know me then the chances are you'll know Dan and his story, in which case you'll know why I've decided to jump out of a plane at 13,000ft to raise funds for his charity, the Danny Porter Foundation. My wife Sandy has insisted that I don't just jump out of any old plane on my own, so I'll be strapped to and instructer from the best in the business - The Parachute Regiment Freefall Team "The Red Devils".

After spending 15 minutes flying up to an altitude of 13,000 ft, he'll take the plunge for a 45 second freefall of speeds up to 120mph! The instructor will open the parachute at 5,000ft and Dave will be able to enjoy the 5 minute scenic decent, expertly guided down to the drop zone and landing to the cheers of us all.

The costs of his jump are not coming out of the fundraising, so every penny you donate will come to the Danny Porter Foundation for the great causes we support. I'm sure you'll all agree that this is an event well worthy of our support!

Good luck to Dave and we'll report on how is big day went in a couple of months.
